Mira – an acronym for ‘Marks & Spencer, influencer, reality, augmented’ and the digital character has been developed using a combination of photography, cutting-edge CGI and computer vision. Mira has a back story – she is 32 and works at the M&S Support Centre as a Digital Designer – and will be one of the ‘M&S Insiders’, made up of M&S colleagues – from store assistants and stylists to buyers and designers – who share style inspiration and product finds with their followers.

Instagram users will soon be able to create, display and sell NFT’s on the platform. Meta announced a new feature that enables creators to make digital collectibles and sell them both on and off Instagram for free, until they bring in charges in 2024. Polygon will provide blockchain infrastructure for the new feature. Initial launch will only be accessible in the US.

Hennessy, the Worlds first Cognac Maison, teams up with Friends with Benefits DAO for an exclusive NFT drop ‘Café 11’. LVMH (the owner of Hennessy) will begin the series of audacious ventures at Art Basel Miami, where they will inaugurate Café 11 by hosting their very first event this December.

Luxury Swiss watch brand Hublot partnered with Spatial to create the largest venue on the platform to date – a 90,000 spectator, 1KM stadium, designed to showcase Hublot’s love for football, design, and community.

The Norwegian government is yet another country making moves to establish a presence in Web3 with the founding of a metaverse tax office in partnership with Ernst & Young. The initiative has been established in Decentraland, where Norway wants to deliver services to younger, tech-native individuals while establishing their Web3 footprint.

INTERPOL UNVEILS FIRST-EVER LAW ENFORCEMENT METAVERSE
The Interpol Metaverse allows registered users to tour a virtual facsimile of the Interpol General Secretariat headquarters in Lyon, France without any geographical or physical boundaries, interact with other officers via their avatars, and even take immersive training courses in forensic investigation and other policing capabilities. The Interpol Metaverse is provided through the Interpol Secure Cloud, ensuring its neutrality.
ENGAGE XR LAUNCHES ‘TRANSFORMATIONAL’ METAVERSE PLATFORM
Virtual reality technology company Engage XR has developed Engage Link as a metaverse platform designed for corporations, professionals, education and event organisations to create their own virtual worlds so as to service their clients directly.
