AR GLASSES SET TO TAKE OVER?

Meta, in partnership with Essilor Luxottica, has launched its updated, more affordable and wearable generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses, with over 150 different custom frames and lenses to choose from, and voice activated engagement and livestreaming options.

DIESEL + FOSSIL LAUNCH IMMERSIVE ONLINE EXPERIENCE

Diesel's Metamorph project launched it's in-VR designed 'Vert' timepiece collection this November, in collaboration with Fossil, supported by an immersive and narrative-driven online brand experience – a multi-layered, interactive journey inspired by the collection.

VIRTUAL INFLUENCER NOONOOURI LANDS WARNER RECORD DEAL

Teenage influencer Noonoouri, the creation of artist Joerg Zuber, has 400,000 followers on Instagram and has starred in fashion campaigns for Dior, Balenciaga and Valentino. Her voice is created by artificial intelligence and now she's been given a recording contract by Warner Music and is releasing her first single.

We love working with the team at Mastercard, not just because of their innovation within the digital marketing world, but because when ever they do something, its to really make a positive difference. Yet again they are putting their heads above the parapet, addressing the gap between opportunities for women and men in the gaming industry, and putting workable solutions in place by creating an academy to inspire and drive support for women in gaming.

DECENTRALAND'S AI WORLD FAIR

Not so long ago, the metaverse was a high priority for many marketers. A wide variety of brands, from Miller Lite to Lacoste, launched virtual activations in an effort to establish a foothold in what was widely believed at the time to be the future of human interaction: a virtual marketplace, office, playground, and more immersive mode of social media, all wrapped into one. Decentraland’s AI World Fair sought to show there’s life in the metaverse yet for brands.

DISNEY MOVES FROM METAVERSE TO AI

"My experience of working with this amazingly diverse and large company on past film projects is that they have always strived to stay in the mix with technological advances. When Disney announced it was abandoning its metaverse project as part of a $5.5 billion cost-cutting effort back in March I felt saddened – but in August it was reported that Disney were creating a task force to look into the developments within the AI realm. 

We are really keen to see how this huge film company deploys AI across its different revenue streams and we will be keeping our eyes out on how this could be incorporated into the future of their sales.

There is wide concern about how AI could negatively affect the film industry – highlighted by the recent Hollywood writer's and actor's strikes about this issue, but if used in the right way AI will create so many other opportunities."

FERRARI ACCEPTS CRYPTO IN THE US

Italian luxury sports car brand Ferrari is to begin accepting cryptocurrency as payment for cars in the US as a result of customer and dealership demand. There are also plans to extend this to Europe in the first quarter of 2024.

GUCCI COSMOS LAND OPENS IN THE SANDBOX METAVERSE GAME

Gucci brings its London archival exhibition into the metaverse with Gucci Cosmos Land in The Sandbox virtual world game. The digital experience allows visitors to explore decades of Gucci history and iconic designs through an interactive journey. Players can navigate through sections representing Gucci's principles, inspirations, and creativity by parkouring across worlds and discovering archival designs, some not previously displayed.

“MACHINE INTELLIGENCE”

Machine Intelligence (MI) refers to advanced computing that enables a machine or algorithm to learn and continuously adapt to its environment. While it’s often confused with artificial intelligence (AI), MI is but one part of AI.

We see many examples of MI in our daily lives. For example, MI is used to provide recommendations on what to watch next when you’re using a streaming platform. It’s also in action when you use search engines like Google. In the metaverse, machine intelligence will be leveraged to create more engaging and immersive experiences within the virtual world.
