AVATARS, THE IMMERSIVE INTERNET AND THE FUTURE OF BRANDS

The immersive internet (the Metaverse) and Avatars are often misunderstood, the Metaverse is simply a series of immersive worlds or digital overlays (real, fantasy or even brand owned) that you enter as an Avatar or first person, they are continuous and social. Think of them as web pages on steroids. They are accessed by many different devices (VR is one of them).

The utility of Verses are significantly greater than standard web2 pages as they enable humans to represent themselves in a far more rounded, engaging and immediate way. This is simply a function of the environment, and it is set to increase as the growth of interoperability and use of Web3.0 tech - where verses link-up - enabling users to move Avatars and Assets across verses.

For all these reasons, engagement and dwell time is far higher and brand experience and interactions are far more valuable.

THE FUTURE

At the same time, brand owned, character driven Avatars, living lives in the Metaverse & on social, will start to populate these worlds, powered by conversational AI, enabling multiple concurrent conversations, deep emotional bonds and a renaissance of the brand / consumer relationship.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

VIRTUAL INFLUENCERS present a huge brand opportunity IN the metaverse and on social.

The Metaverse is a concept we have been working on and integrating with since 2017. It is now a public word that brands and consumers are starting to understand and see value in.

We have worked in all Metaverse and Social platforms and believe that the most compelling way for brands to interact on these platforms is by creating Avatars they own that form deep relationships with consumers and ‘own’ the engagement. Brand owned Avatars cant be kicked out of Verses, and they can take their followers to any new Verse - Future-proofing their Metaverse strategy, they will become the tastemakers, and the consumer gateway for brands.

As virtual, immersive and augmented worlds grow, relationships with Avatars and the goods and services bought in verse will continually increase.

We will all engage with machines in a personal, emotionally connected ways through multiple touch points via Virtual assistants, Virtual friends, Avatars & Virtual Influencers . It will be natural for us to use Virtual Assistants and for them to be made "personable", with traits that we find both comfortable and endearing.

Our comfort and usage of Virtual Assistants will grow to feel completely natural and it will follow that we will also engage with Virtual Influencers whose purpose is not to assist, but to provide friendship, comfort, advice and entertainment.

Any squeamishness towards being "emotionally connected" to a machine will be become redundant, as Virtual characters become part of our lives.
